Biden's approval rating drops to near record low record of 38%
Joe Biden's approval rating has dropped to 38%, just one point above his all-time low.
According to a recent Gallup poll released on Friday, President Joe Biden's approval rating has plummeted to 38%, just one point shy of his all-time low.
The poll tracked Biden's handling of six major areas, including his overall job performance, the war in Ukraine, the US economy, wars in the Middle East, the border crisis, and foreign policy issues.
Public satisfaction with Biden's handling of immigration issues hit a new low, dropping to 28%, a decrease of 3 points since November. Similarly, his approval rating for managing the war on Gaza decreased by 2 points to 30%.
However, there were slight improvements in Biden's approval ratings for his handling of the US economy and the situation in Ukraine, which rose to 36% and 40%, respectively.
Biden's approval ratings have consistently remained below 44% since August 2021, with his average third-year rating of 39.8% ranking as the second lowest among post-World War II presidents during their first term, according to Gallup.
The poll was conducted from February 1 to 20.
Falling into the rabbit hole
Biden's age of 81 has recently become a matter of controversy in the US, especially in light of the many gaffes he has made since the start of his tenure. Some lawmakers have gone as far as labeling his health a "national security issue" that requires urgent attention.
In a recent investigation regarding the claim of Biden mishandling classified documents, Special Counsel Robert Hur concluded that Biden intentionally kept and shared classified information, but did not recommend criminal charges against him.
Hur's report cited several instances of Biden experiencing lapses in memory about key points in his life and career.

Another thing to consider is that US voters have become increasingly frustrated over Biden's mishandling of the situation in Gaza, which has so far cost the lives of nearly 30,000 Palestinians.
Earlier today, a report by Politico detailed that Biden may lose voters in Michigan due to his "late" actions in addressing the situation in Palestine, although no meaningful actions had really been taken.
Adding to this is Ukraine's defeats in its counter-offensive against Russia, which has so far cost nearly $75 billion.
With a long series of consecutive gaffes Biden has committed since the beginning of his tenure, many believe that his rival Trump will likely succeed him in office.
