Biden to only visit 'Israel' as Amman cancels summit
US President Joe Biden will not be going to Jordan as part of his regional tour anymore after the Israeli occupation committed a massacre in occupied Palestine.
Jordan announced the abrupt cancellation of a scheduled summit that included US President Joe Biden and leaders from Jordan, Egypt, and the Palestinian Authority.
The announcement comes in the wake of a devastating Israeli attack on a Gaza hospital, which massacred hundreds of people and wounded hundreds of others.
Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said the summit would be postponed until there is a definitive resolution to the ongoing conflict.
"There is no point in doing anything at this time other than stopping this war. There is no benefit to anyone in holding a summit at this time," he underlined.
The summit was initially intended to reinvigorate efforts to facilitate a ceasefire after the Israeli occupation spent nearly the past two weeks bombing Gaza relentlessly.
However, Biden was forced to reconsider making several stops in the region after the massacre that hit Gaza's al-Maamadani Hospital.

President Biden had left the White House earlier on Tuesday for his planned trip to occupied Palestine and Jordan, where he was set to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in "Tel Aviv" and engage in discussions with Palestinian, Jordanian, and Egyptian leaders in Amman.
Dina Kawar, the Jordanian Ambassador to the United States, confirmed that the summit had been canceled and informed the Biden administration of the decision. "This is not the moment," she asserted, underlining the urgency of the situation.
The Israeli occupation carried out a massacre before the entire world as it bombed a hospital housing over a thousand civilians, killing hundreds in the process.
Earlier, the Health Ministry of Gaza reported that over 500 people have been martyred in an Israeli strike on al-Maamadan Hospital.
