State Department spokesperson Ned Price reports the topics of the G7 meeting in Germany between US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and his various counterparts.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met Friday in Germany with his German, French, and British counterparts, State Department spokesperson Ned Price said.
"They discussed continued Transatlantic cooperation on a number of key issues, including consistent support for Ukraine in the face of Russia’s brutal war of aggression," Price said in a press release.
The ministers also discussed perspectives on Tehran’s alleged military support of Moscow and human rights violations in Iran, the release mentioned.
Blinken landed in Münster on Wednesday night and will stay till November 4 for the G7 foreign ministers' meeting.
The G7 group of affluent nations was set to underline its support for Ukraine in the Ukraine war at a conference in western Germany, with China and Iran also on the agenda.
The two-day meeting in the German city of Münster coincides with political unrest in several G7 countries, notably Italy and the UK.
