Bombing targets US base in Deir Ezzor
Violent explosions sounded in the north of Deir Ezzor, eastern Syria, as preliminary information indicated the bombing of a US base.
A Russian warplane launched on Saturday evening an air-to-air missile over the Syrian town of Marea, which is under the control of Turkish-backed militants in the northern countryside of Aleppo, Al Mayadeen correspondent in Syria reported.
The airspace of the northern and eastern countryside of Aleppo in the cities of Al-Bab, Azaz, and Afrin witnessed an intense overflight of Russian warplanes.
This comes as Syrian press sources confirmed that the Russian forces maintained their military presence in the Washiyah and Tal Ajar bases, west of the city of Tal Rifaat in the northern countryside of the Aleppo governorate.
In the same context, local sources confirmed the arrival of Syrian Army military convoys to the northern countryside of Aleppo, heading to the Menagh military airport.
Explosions sounded in Al-Omar oil field
Moreover, Al Mayadeen correspondent reported that violent explosions sounded in the north of Deir Ezzor, eastern Syria, inside the Al-Omar oil field, which the US occupation use as a military base.
Preliminary information indicated that the explosions were caused by a bombing targeting the US base. Ambulances rushed toward the base, which indicates that the bombing likely caused casualties.
