Israeli media reported on Wednesday that the Israeli occupation opened fire on a Palestinian car driver at the entrance to the 'Kiryat Arba' settlement in al-Khalil, in the southern West Bank, for allegedly trying to run over Israeli forces.

Yedioth Ahronoth alleged that "a ramming attempt was thwarted at the Beit Anon intersection near Kiryat Arba."

The newspaper added, "An Israeli reserve force was present at the scene and neutralized the Palestinian, who was seriously injured."

This occurs simultaneously with the Israeli occupation conducting extensive incursions and raids in the West Bank, coinciding with its ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip.

Large-scale incursions continue

Sources informed Al Mayadeen that occupation forces entered the town of Beit Ummar, located north of al-Khalil in the occupied West Bank. The Palestinian Red Crescent also reported that three Palestinians sustained injuries from occupation gunfire in the towns of Al-Yamoun and Tammun in the northern part of the West Bank.

Occupation forces persist in carrying out large-scale incursions across various areas, accompanied by actions such as field executions, widespread arrests and torture campaigns, severe beatings, field investigations, and threats against detainees and their families. Additionally, there are reports of extensive sabotage and destruction of citizens' homes.

Since dawn on Tuesday, the Israeli occupation forces have launched a series of raids in conjunction with an arrest campaign that targeted at least 30 people in various areas of the West Bank, especially in the governorates of al-Khalil, Qalqilya, Ramallah, Jenin, Ariha, and Salfit, according to the Commission for Ex-Prisoners’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners Club.

The occupation continues its campaigns of raids and arrests in various areas of the West Bank, as part of the comprehensive aggression against the Palestinian people, and in conjunction with the genocidal war it is waging against the people of the Gaza Strip.
