China believes Taiwan using Ukrainian crisis for political manipulations
China warns against Taiwan's actions amid the situation in Ukraine, accusing it of "political manipulations".
Taiwan is taking advantage of the situation in Ukraine for political manipulations, Zhu Fenglian, spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of China's State Council, said on Wednesday, adding that such actions would eventually fail.
Taiwan's ruling Democratic Progressive Party, according to Zhu, is utilizing the Ukrainian problem to defend its existence and attain independence.
"Their attempts to incite confrontation and cause enmity through political manipulation will not succeed,” she said when asked to comment on Taipei's Tuesday decision to provide up to $11.5 million in humanitarian funding to Ukrainian refugees in Poland, Lithuania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Hungary hosting those fleeing from Ukraine.

The Ukrainian and Taiwanese crises are significantly different because the island is an important part of China, thus the Taiwanese issue is an entirely internal matter, the spokesperson said, emphasizing that Beijing will not tolerate any outside involvement.
Military support for Taiwan will bring "worst consequences"
In light of the situation in Ukraine and the Chinese dispute with Taiwan, Beijing warned of any military support for Taiwan.
"No one and no force" will be able to stop the Chinese Communist Party if they were to take action against the island, the Chinese government threatened.
Although tensions between China and Taiwan were escalating over recent months, they've come into a different spotlight as Russia authorized its special military operations.
This year, Taiwan has boosted its yearly missile production capacity, which came after an announcement that the country will provide an extra $6.8 billion military budget over the span of the next 5 years.
