Writer Liz Peek contends that Biden will be held accountable for dealing with the recent events with "Israel", but expresses skepticism about the White House's initial response to the situation.

An opinion published by Fox News on Wednesday details some of the similarities between US President Joe Biden's presidency and Jimmy Carter's share by highlighting resemblances in their economic challenges, approval ratings, and primary challenges.

Writer Liz Peek also suggests that Biden's handling of the Middle East crisis, particularly the situation in the occupied territories, could impact his presidency, much like Carter's handling of the Iran hostage operation affected his.

The author points out that Biden will be held accountable for dealing with the recent events with "Israel", but expresses skepticism about the White House's initial response to the situation.

"Confronting Tehran could escalate the hostilities in the region, and would also boost oil prices, which would inevitably hurt Biden’s approval ratings," she writes. "Also, Biden’s White House, foolishly pursuing a nuclear pact, has enriched and emboldened the mullahs, in part by loosening enforcement of sanctions; voters will not look kindly on that decision."

Peek also mentions suspicions about the loyalty of Robert Malley, a special envoy to Iran, who has been accused of mishandling classified documents and allegedly working in favor of Iran.

She also criticizes the administration for not holding Iran accountable for its alleged involvement in the recent Hamas resistance operation against "Israel" and argues that relaxing sanctions on Iran has allowed the country to generate significant oil revenue and strengthen its ties with China.

Peek raises questions about the State Department's evacuation efforts and capacity to provide military aid due to depleted munitions stocks.

She alleges that the apparent well-equipped status of Hamas is partly attributed to weapons left behind in Afghanistan while criticizing the administration's portrayal of the Afghan withdrawal as a success.

"Hamas, on the other hand, appears to be well-equipped, thanks at least in part to mountains of weapons and ammunition abandoned by US forces in their hasty exit from Afghanistan, which Joe Biden and his team continue to applaud as a success," Peek writes.

Biden is due to land in the occupied territories on Wednesday, where he will be meeting with senior Israeli officials.

According to Secretary of State Antony Blinken, the US President will discuss with Israeli officials means to further arm the occupation forces, adding that the Biden administration continues "to work with Congress to meet those needs."

Earlier today, a report by the New York Times revealed that "Israel" has requested $10 billion in emergency aid from the US in response to the Palestinian resistance operation.

Late on Monday night, it was reported that the White House is preparing a support package that includes aid for "Israel," along with assistance for Ukraine, funding for strengthening the US-Mexico border, and aid for Taiwan.

Last week, a US official informed Sputnik that a decision had not been reached in Washington regarding the inclusion of assistance for Ukraine and Taiwan in a supplementary funding request being prepared for submission to Congress to secure additional aid for "Israel."

US Army Secretary Christine Wormuth stated that Congress support is needed to provide security assistance to Ukraine and "Israel."

On another note, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan stated on Sunday that a new arms package for "Israel" and Ukraine will be significantly over $2 billion.
