Countries condemn the Israeli assassination of commander Fouad Shokor
Condemnations of the cowardly Israeli assassination of Hezbollah commander Fouad Shokor are pouring in as regional tensions escalate.
Condemnations are mounting from both Arab and international leaders following the Israeli assassination of prominent Hezbollah commander Fouad Shokor, also known as Sayyed Mohsen, who was martyred on the path to al-Quds due to an Israeli airstrike on Beirut's southern suburb.
The Tunisian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the "blatant, savage aggression" carried out by the Israeli occupation against Lebanon, stating that the assault on Lebanon's security and sovereignty will only strengthen the voices of justice and freedom and bolster Resistance efforts. The ministry called on the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities in deterring the dangerous policies of the Israeli occupation.

Additionally, the ministry condemned the cowardly assassination of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh, labeling it a flagrant violation and attack on state sovereignty. The Tunisian Foreign Ministry reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people.
Iraq's National Wisdom Movement leader, Ammar al-Hakim, extended his condolences to the Lebanese people, the leadership, and supporters of the Islamic Resistance over the martyrdom of Sayyed Fouad Shokor. He emphasized that these violations reveal "Israel's" intention to escalate the conflict in all directions, threatening regional and global security without any restraint.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani called on the international community, via a tweet, to strongly condemn the assassination of martyr Fouad Shokor. Kanaani stated that "Israel" has added another crime to its record with this new violation of Lebanon's sovereignty and international laws, asserting that such actions will increase global animosity towards "Israel" and strengthen the Resistance front.
The Joint Meeting Parties in Sanaa also expressed their support and solidarity with the Lebanese Resistance in responding to Israeli occupation crimes.
