Cuba has condemned the recent Israeli aggressions against Lebanon, as the occupation continues to violate the ceasefire reached in November 2024 with airstrikes, ground incursions, and surveillance.
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez condemned the ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon, noting that they violate both the ceasefire agreement established nearly a year ago and international law.
Rodriguez stressed that these attacks pose a threat to the efforts aimed at achieving stability and peace in the Middle East.
Israeli forces are continuing their attacks on Lebanon, in violation of the ceasefire agreement reached on November 27, 2024. These assaults, which have targeted civilians and infrastructure, have resulted in dozens of casualties and the destruction of vital economic resources.
Almost a year of continuous Israeli violations
On October 20, Israeli warplanes conducted a series of airstrikes targeting the areas of al-Jarmak and al-Mahmoudiya in southern Lebanon, according to a report from an Al Mayadeen correspondent.
According to field sources, the strikes targeted open areas and agricultural land near the border, causing widespread panic among residents while producing no immediate reports of casualties and marking another escalation in the ongoing hostilities along the southern front.
One Lebanese civilian was killed on October 18 in the southern town of Deir Kifa after an Israeli drone fired three missiles at a bulldozer, according to a report by Al Mayadeen's correspondent citing the Ministry of Public Health's Emergency Operations Center.
On October 16, Israeli occupation forces launched a series of violent airstrikes against Lebanon, marking a serious escalation and a continued violation of the ceasefire declaration that has been in place since November 27, 2024.
In the first wave, the Israeli occupation launched a drone strike on the al-Dabsheh hill on the outskirts of the town of Kfar Tibnit, followed by another drone strike on the Kawthariya al-Siyyed-al-Sharqiya main road.
