UNRWA reveals IOF bombed its facilities 332 times
In a special report on Monday, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) documented several incidents in which its facilities were subjected to the ongoing Israeli bombing of the Gaza Strip.
The report outlined that the agency's buildings have been subjected to bombing and vandalism on 332 occasions since the onset of the aggression, harming people within them. Additionally, it noted that several incidents were reported between February 20 and 23.
UNRWA documented these incidents based on footage captured by the Israeli occupation forces. It noted that occupation forces reportedly entered a school in the Bani Suhaila area, located in Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip. Inside the school premises, the occupation forces conducted excavation operations within the premises, alleging they had discovered a tunnel beneath the facility.
The agency's report indicated that the Israeli occupation forces also carried out a controlled demolition near the school, pointing out that the damage resulting from that explosion had not yet been assessed. It added that the occupation forces opened fire on a group of people at the main gate of a school in the al-Amal neighborhood, west of Khan Younis, killing at least two people.
According to the footage, a school located in Gaza City was directly struck by artillery fire, sustaining damage from several shells. While there were no reports of casualties, numerous displaced individuals who had sought shelter within the school premises decided to vacate following the incident.
