Day 285 of Gaza genocide: 38,838 Palestinian martyrs, 89,459 injured
The Ministry of Health in Gaza releases an updated toll on the number of martyrs and injuries in the Gaza Strip on Thursday.
The toll of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 38,838 Palestinian martyrs and 89,459 injuries since October 7, 2023, the Ministry of Health in Gaza stated on Thursday.
On the 286th day of war on Gaza, Israeli occupation forces committed three massacres, targeting entire families across the Gaza Strip. These attacks resulted in the killing of at least 54 Palestinians and injured another 95.
The Ministry of Health explained that emergency workers could not reach victims whose bodies lay on the Gaza Strip's streets and under the rubble caused by Israeli bombing.

Israeli bombing, shelling campaign targets towns across Gaza Strip
Central Gaza Strip attacks
On Thursday, Israeli occupation forces focused their bombing campaign on the central Gaza Strip, targeting residential homes in al-Bureij refugee camp, which resulted in the martyrdom of two individuals and injured seven others. Reports also revealed that four children involved in the incident are yet to be located.
An apartment in al-Nuseirat refugee camp was also attacked by occupation forces while the Abdullah Azzam Mosque in the same area was bombed. The latter attacks killed at least one person and injured several others.
Eight people were martyred and others were injured in a raid on the Abu Rukab family home in al-Zuwayda.
In Deir al-Balah, Israeli aircraft bombed civilians in a car, killing two Palestinians and severely injuring two others, one of whom succumbed to their wounds. The gruesome attack left the martyred individuals in pieces, as only their remains could be recovered.

Near the Netzarim Axis, which is located on the northern edge of the central Gaza Strip, Israeli occupation forces demolished several residential buildings.

Southern Gaza Strip attacks
Israeli artillery also shelled several areas in the city of Khan Younis on Thursday.
Further south, in western Rafah, Israeli machine guns heavily fired toward the area, while several artillery shells pounded the same location in the Saudi neighborhood.
Northern Gaza Strip attacks
The northeastern parts of the Gaza Strip were also subject to heavy Israeli machine gun fire.
In the northeasternmost town of Beit Hanoun, Israeli occupation forces demolished several residential buildings in Al-Nazzazza while artillery units shelled the nearby town of Beit Lahia. The Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza City was also subject to heavy artillery shelling on Thursday.
