An International Coalition official told AFP that Baghdad Airport, where an Iraqi military base is located and includes a number of advisory Coalition forces, was attacked at 4:30 am on Monday.
The source elaborated that the two planes were shot down and the attack did not result in damage, while photos of the coalition showed remnants of the two drones, which had "the leaders' revenge operation" inscribed on them.
The attack comes on the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Al-Quds Force Commander, Lieutenant-General Qassem Soleimani, and Deputy Head of the Popular Mobilization Forces, Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis.
