Egypt agrees to open Rafah crossing for 20 aid trucks: Biden
The US President says 20 aid trucks are expected to cross through Rafah into Gaza, after reaffirming unconditional military aid to "Israel".
Egypt has agreed to open the Rafah crossing into Gaza to allow 20 trucks filled with humanitarian aid through, United States President Joe Biden told reporters on Wednesday.
"He (President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi) agreed to... let up to 20 trucks through, to begin with," Biden said following a phone call with el-Sisi which he conducted from a telephone on the Presidential jet, Air Force One.
He added that the 20 trucks represented a "first tranche," but "150 or something" trucks are waiting in total. Whether the rest are allowed to cross will depend on "how it goes."
The aid packages would not reach Gazans until Friday as the road around the crossing needed repairs, Biden noted.
The US President failed to mention why the roads were damaged. In fact "Israel" has bombed the crossing several times since October 7.
Biden said that the United Nations would distribute the aid in Gaza while contending that another batch might be sent in depending on the situation.

The US President also commended the Egyptian President saying, "The bottom line is that he deserves some real credit because he was very accommodating."
Biden was set to meet with el-Sisi, Jordan's King Abdullah II, and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in Amman on Wednesday. However, the meeting was canceled as the Arab world went out to protest American policies and its support of "Israel" which led to numerous war crimes, including the bombing of al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza.
The airstrike was carried out on the Hospital, which was thought to be a safe haven from Israeli bombing, sparked outrage across the Middle East and North Africa.
Protestors took to the streets in the occupied West Bank, Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia, Iran, Bahrain, Morocco, Libya, and Iraq calling for an end to normalization with the Israeli occupation and denouncing US military assistance to "Israel" following the massacre that resulted in more than 500 Palestinian martyrs.

On Wednesday, Biden landed in "Tel Aviv" and met with Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu where he adopted the Israeli rhetoric, saying that he saw evidence that indicated that the "other team" carried out the bombing.
Despite the unquestionable evidence that Israeli warplanes committed the massacre in al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, Washington will continue to provide weapons and bombs to the murderous occupation regime.
Moreover, "Israel" has cut off water, food, and energy supplies to the Strip, which has made life unbearable for more than 2 million Gazans.
A glaring question arises: What will 20 aid trucks do to a besieged population in the world's largest "open-air prison"?
