Elon Musk calls Vivek Ramaswamy 'promising' Republican 2024 candidate
Musk voiced his support for the candidate on the basis that he 'states his beliefs clearly', and one of his beliefs includes stopping Ukraine from entering NATO.
US billionaire and X (formerly Twitter) CEO Elon Musk has described Republican candidate and fellow entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy as a "very promising" runner for the US presidential race in 2024.
Musk posted that the 38-year-old Ramaswamy "states his beliefs clearly", during an interview with Fox News' Tucker Carlson.
The Indian-American descendant launched his presidential campaign in February in the 2024 Republican primary.
Ramaswamy has presented a proposal for a peace treaty to call for a ceasefire in Ukraine and establish a Korean-style armistice and has additionally added that he would "make a hard commitment that NATO never admits Ukraine to NATO."

Ramaswamy said in July that he would negotiate a resolution to the conflict in Ukraine if elected president, which would include a guarantee that Ukraine will not join NATO in exchange for Russia cutting ties with China.
"I would negotiate a deal that ends the Ukraine war, freezes the current lines of control," he said in an interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson.
The US is already harboring low hopes regarding the Ukrainian counteroffensive as the Washington Post reported today, citing people familiar with the matter, that US intelligence expects Ukraine's counteroffensive to fail and fall short of its goals, which include reaching the city of Melitopol in the country's southeast.
The Wall Street Journal added last month that the US knew that Ukraine lacked military capabilities, including the necessary training and weapons, to carry out a successful counteroffensive, however, this did not stop it from greenlighting the campaign.
