Emirates to resume flights to Beirut, Baghdad starting February
Emirates has already restored flights to Iran and the Iraqi city of Basrah, indicating a broader recovery of its regional network as stability improves.
Emirates, the leading airline of the United Arab Emirates, has announced it will resume daily flights to Beirut, Lebanon, and Baghdad, Iraq, beginning February 1, 2025. The routes were initially suspended on October 1, 2024, in response to escalated regional tensions following Iran's retaliation to "Israel's" aggression on the Iranian consulate.
In a statement released Friday, Emirates confirmed its plans to reintroduce a daily service to Beirut's Rafic Hariri International Airport using a Boeing 777-300ER. The airline also revealed that starting April 1, 2025, an additional daily flight to Beirut will be added to its schedule.
"Emirates will restart services to Beirut, Lebanon from 1 February 2025 with a daily flight. The airline will also reinstate daily services to Baghdad in Iraq on the same day," the statement read.
Operations to Baghdad will also restart with a daily flight on February 1, 2025. Emirates has already restored flights to Iran and the Iraqi city of Basrah, indicating a broader recovery of its regional network as stability improves.
We’ll be resuming services to Beirut, Lebanon and Baghdad, Iraq with daily flights, from 1 February 2025.
