End 'Israel's' Gaza war to stop humanitarian crisis: China Daily

An editorial by the China Daily argued that ending the immense human suffering in the Gaza Strip requires "Israel" to immediately halt military operations, fully adhere to international law, particularly international humanitarian law, and restore unrestricted humanitarian access while supporting UN agencies and other aid organizations in delivering relief.
Tel Aviv has instead vowed to proceed with what it calls the "liberation" of Gaza from a "terror regime," the China Daily noted, under a plan approved by "Israel's" Security Cabinet on Thursday that involves taking control of Gaza City, forcibly relocating its 1 million residents southward, and securing central Gaza's refugee camps and suspected hostage locations.
The editorial noted that the historical record of "Israel", occupying the Golan Heights in Syria and large swathes of Palestinian land since 1967, what "Israel" is planning is anything but liberation.
Israeli government ignored all warnings
European Council President Antonio Costa called on the Israeli government to reconsider its plan, emphasizing that the military operation, alongside the extensive destruction in Gaza, the continued expansion of settlements in the West Bank, the severe restrictions on aid delivery, and the use of hunger as a weapon, violates fundamental principles of international law and universal human values.
The Security Cabinet approved the Netanyahu-led government's plan despite strong opposition and serious warnings from some Israeli military officials, who argued that the operation would not only worsen the humanitarian catastrophe but also put the remaining Gaza captives at greater risk, China Daily noted.
Reports suggest the Israeli occupation forces plan to first impose a three-month siege around Gaza, followed by an extended two-month operation aimed at capturing Gaza City and the central refugee camps while systematically eliminating all Palestinian armed groups from the entire area.
It highlighted the hypocrisy of "Israel's" "liberation" claims as thousands protested in Tel Aviv and across the country, demanding a ceasefire and captive deal while recognizing the operation as part of the prime minister's political maneuvering.
'Israel' isolated itself with its war on Gaza
With Gaza's Health Ministry reporting over 61,000 dead, including 18,000 children, and 151,000 injured alongside unresolved hostage cases, China Daily argued that "Israel's" manufactured humanitarian catastrophe has become the driving force behind global rejection of its military operations and resurgent demands for a "two-state" solution.
Breaking the cycle of violence requires the complete implementation of the "two-state solution," including the creation of an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 borders, according to China Daily, which added that the international community must intensify its efforts to revive the political process for this solution and unite against any unilateral actions that undermine its viability.
A sustainable resolution to the crisis remains unattainable unless "Israel’s" illegal occupation of Palestinian territories is terminated and the "two-state solution" is achieved, with Gaza constituting an inseparable component of the future Palestinian State.
