Erdogan hopes to conduct bilateral talks with Putin during Iran visit
During his visit to Iran, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan hopes to hold bilateral talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
During his scheduled trip to Iran on July 18–19, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan anticipates holding bilateral talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Turkish President's office announced on Sunday.
The statement issued by the President’s office read, "The president plans to hold talks with his Russian counterpart."
The President's office said Erdogan's visit on July 19 would also include the 7th High-Level Cooperation Council between Turkey and Iran, which will be presided over by Erdogan and Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.
In parallel, Putin is set to visit Tehran on July 19 to take part in a trilateral meeting with the presidents of Iran and Turkey, the Kremlin said on Tuesday.
On the same day, the chief of the Economic Commission of Iran’s Parliament Mohammadreza Pour-Ebrahimi highlighted that the US and European embargo on Russia made Moscow increase economic cooperation with Tehran.
Earlier today, it was announced that automobile industry leaders from Iran, Russia, and Turkey are discussing collaborative car design and production after sanctions on Moscow and Tehran slowed output, according to IRNA.
