EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said that EU member states have collectively agreed on a common stance regarding the burgeoning war in Gaza, favoring "immediate pauses" to allow for the opening of humanitarian corridors.

"The suspension of the payments — punishing all the Palestinian people — would have damaged the EU interests in the region," Borrell
