Exclusive: US-Israeli attacks on Syria kill 6 troops, IRGC advisor
Sources tell Al Mayadeen that joint US-Israeli attacks have killed a number of Syrians, as well as an IRGC advisor in the country.
A number of people were martyred and injured in overnight aggression on Deir-Ezzor, al-Bukamal, al-Salihiyah, and al-Mayadin to the east of Syria, field sources told Al Mayadeen.
In detail, our sources said that the United States occupation forces and the Israeli occupation forces launched a number of "joint-terror" attacks on the four aforementioned areas in eastern Syria at exactly 1:49 am (local time) on March 26, 2024.
The Iranian Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported that a military advisor of the Islamic Revolution's Guard Corps (IRGC) was martyred in the overnight attacks "carried out by the US on eastern Syria."
The IRGC advisor who was present in Syria at the official invitation of the Syrian Arab Republic has been identified as martyr Behrouz Vahedi.
According to Al Mayadeen's sources, the number of joint attacks conducted on Tuesday amounted to 10, which targeted civilians and military infrastructure in Syria.

Six Syrian nationals were martyred while nine others were wounded, including women and children, as a result of the aggression, in addition to the IRGC advisor who was martyred.
Iranian media outlets also reported on another Iranian national who was injured in the attacks.
Later, the state-owned Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) said that US forces bombed eastern Syria, killing at least seven soldiers and one civilian.
A Syrian military source had also said that 19 troops and 13 civilians were injured in the attacks, which resulted in major material losses.
Earlier on March 19, Syrian Air Defense Units intercepted a number of Israeli missiles launched toward the country, targeting sites in the countryside of Damascus. Some of the missiles bypassed air defenses and caused material damage with no human casualties reported.
Israeli and US attacks on Syria's civilian and military infrastructure have been recurrent, intensifying after the Israeli aggression on Gaza, which was launched on October 7, 2023.
