Exclusive: Military parades are a clear, alarming message to the enemy
Member of the Political Bureau of the Yemeni Ansar Allah Ali Al-Qahhoum warns that US and UK troops are advancing on different fronts in Yemen.
Member of the Political Bureau of the Yemeni Ansar Allah Ali Al-Qahhoum told Al Mayadeen that the countries of aggression did not implement the humanitarian aspect of the truce.
“The US is applying double standards when it comes to the Yemeni file, and we demand the lifting of the siege, the payment of salaries, and the release of prisoners,” he added.
The top Yemeni figures underlined that US troops are advancing on Bab-el-Mandeb and Hadhramaut, while British forces are advancing on Al-Mahr.
Al-Qahhoum stressed that the countries of aggression must recognize that Yemen is gaining strength, affirming, "We want peace that preserves the dignity and sovereignty of Yemen."
"The military parades send a clear alarming message to the countries of aggression," he said, adding that "the enemy must understand that we will fight until victory is achieved."
Al-Qahhoum noted that Yemen is producing long-range missiles -- a cause for concern for "Israel".
He further revealed that “the countries of aggression have recently backed Al-Qaeda in Yemen, with the UAE supporting the Giants Brigades and Saudi Arabia supporting the “Happy Yemen Brigade” operation."
It is worth noting that Sanaa Prime Minister Abdulaziz bin Habtoor said last Saturday that the military parade held by the Yemeni armed forces is an example of the great Yemeni victory against the Saudi-led coalition of aggression.
The Yemeni Armed Forces organized a military parade last Thursday in the country's capital, which saw the Sanaa forces showcasing their latest weapons and equipment developed at home.
Al Mayadeen's sources shed the light on the specifications of the homemade weapons exhibited by the Yemeni army on the occasion of the eighth anniversary of the September 21 revolution in the Al-Sabeen Square, Sanaa.
The military parade saw the army showcasing advanced weapons spanning everything, from dozens of advanced missile systems, naval weapons, and air defenses made by the Military Industrialization Authority.
During the military parade, Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree warned the Saudi-led coalition of aggression against any escalation and missing out on the chance for a ceasefire, stressing that "the situation in Yemen before the parade is not as it was before it."
In early September, the Yemeni Armed Forces held The Promise of the Hereafter military parade in Al-Hudaydah, which saw the participation of various units of the Yemeni army, such as the coast guard, the navy, the air force, the air defense force, and several elite forces, sources told Al Mayadeen.
The military parade was attended by 20,000 security personnel from the Ministry of Interior's security units.
