The general secretary of The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (WFPIST) Sheikh Hamid Shahriari, hails through Al Mayadeen the call of the sheikh of Al-Azhar Imam Ahmad Al-Tayeb for inter-Islamic dialogue.
The general secretary of The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (WFPIST) Sheikh Hamid Shahriari, hailed the call of the sheikh of Al-Azhar Imam Ahmad Al-Tayeb for inter-Islamic dialogue.
A few days ago, the Sheikh of Al-Azhar Imam Ahmed Al-Tayeb, invited Shia Muslim scholars to hold an inter-Islamic dialogue aimed at rejecting "sedition and sectarian conflict," at a time when several countries in the region and the world are experiencing tensions.
Commenting on this, Shahriari told Al Mayadeen that "security and tranquility are what should prevail in the Islamic world, and they would be the result of inter-Islamic dialogue."
Sheikh Hamid Shahriari called Sheikh of Al-Azhar Ahmed Al-Tayeb for "visiting Iran and laying the initial foundations for inter-Islamic dialogue."

"We are ready to go with a delegation from the WFPIST to Cairo to meet the Sheikh of Al-Azhar and discuss the inter-Islamic dialogue," Shahriari said.
"Sheikh of Al-Azhar's call will bring forth important additions because by this we are resisting the works and projects of the enemy that seeks to sow discord among Muslims," he added, emphasizing that "Iran stands with any call to find and strengthen unity in the Islamic world, even if it is repeated every year."
"We need to bring the peoples closer, renounce division among them, prevent fighting among Muslims, and prevent the economic blockade, as happened with Qatar."
A few days ago, Shahriari hailed the call of the Imam of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif for a dialogue between Muslim scholars and considered it evidence of the seriousness of the call.
On another note, he noted that Islamic countries must stop normalization with "Israel" because this is a violation of religious principles and support for the oppressor over the oppressed.
He also touched on the Lebanese economic crisis and said that Muslim scholars should find solutions.
"على الدول الإسلامية أن توقف التطبيع مع "إسرائيل" لأن في ذلك خرق للأصول المذهبية ودعم للظالم على المظلوم."

Condemning the crime of Shiraz
Regarding the recent events in Iran, Sheikh Shahriari said, "Today we are witnessing two plots by the Global Arrogance in the region. The first plot is to sow discord in Iran, a country that includes many nationalities."
"The Iranian security was able to uncover the networks that wanted to sow discord in Iran," he said, noting that the crime that took place in the holy shrine of Shah Sheragh in Shiraz shows that the enemies and ISIS continue to target Tehran.

Shahriari added that the WFPIST has more than 100 Sunni scholars in Iran and other scholars from the Islamic world, and they condemned the Shiraz terrorist crime, explaining that "some scholars did not condemn the Shiraz terrorist crime, perhaps because they were influenced by the biased media, and we invite them to visit Iran."
A few days ago, Iran said its intelligence forces have arrested all perpetrators and accomplices linked to the Shiraz terrorist attack.
The attack occurred on October 26, and the terrorist in question killed 15 people, including women and children, and wounded 30 others.
Hours after the attack on the Shah-e-Cheragh shrine in the Iranian city of Shiraz, ISIS claimed responsibility.
