In an interview with Al Mayadeen, Mottaki said that "the Iraqi government is aware of Iran's positions," adding that "the party that should receive our message is the government in Iraqi Kurdistan."
"Terrorist groups in Iraqi Kurdistan want division in Iraq, Syria and other regions, and thus seek to divide the Islamic world," he believed.
Regarding the results of the Knesset elections in "Israel", the former Iranian minister said, "'Israel' might repeat its previous threats against Iran with the return of Netanyahu, but Tehran will not stand idly by. We have tested a new missile that reaches Tel Aviv in less than 7 minutes, and the target is Dimona."
Regarding the recent riots, Mottaki said, "The real guardian of the Islamic Revolution is the Iranian people, and it is natural for the people to have remarks criticizing the government's performance," stressing that "there were protesters in the recent unrest, and they must be separated from the rioters."
"The Iranian intelligence service arrested a number of rioters and obtained great information, which the Zionists thought would not fall into our hands," Mottaki stated, stressing that "the way our officials handled the events was smart and wise, and the security forces did not kill citizens."
"The West's foreign policy is subject to complete hegemony and dependence on US policies," he added.
It is noteworthy that Iran has recently witnessed demonstrations and riots that left dead and injured among the security forces and civilians. The events coincided with terrorist operations in the country. Tehran accuses Western countries of trying to ignite a strife inside Iran by supporting the riots.
