"The upcoming conference on water security would present a clear picture of our country's possession of the elements of power," he said, stressing that "the Sanaa government is committed to protecting international navigation in accordance with international law."
"The enemy must understand that Yemen has growing military capabilities that make it capable of protecting its waters and national identity," Al-Qahoum stressed.
He then pointed out that there is "a direct US military presence in Yemen, and an influx of US forces, specifically in Hadhramaut," adding, "there is also an influx of British forces into Al-Mahrah Governorate."
Al-Qahoum pointed to the arrival of US and British military delegations to Yemen this week, saying they are preparing for a round of escalation, stressing that "the Yemenis are ready to defend their dignity and every inch of their country."
Last Thursday, the Sanaa government accused the US of obstructing peace in Yemen and held it responsible for the war and the siege against it for more than 7 years.
