Explosion near Israeli embassy in New Delhi; investigations underway
Israeli authorities are cooperating with their Indian counterparts to look into the cause of the explosion.
An explosion was reportedly heard near the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi, on Tuesday evening, with no one harmed, as confirmed by government authorities.
Delhi Fire Service received a call of a blast near the Israel Embassy in the Chanakyapuri area this evening.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry confirmed the incident, claiming that no embassy staff was harmed in the blast, the cause of which was not immediately clear.
"We can confirm that around 5:20 there was a blast at close proximity to the embassy," Israeli Embassy spokesperson Guy Nir said, as quoted by Reuters.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry confirmed that Israeli security officials were working with local Indian authorities on the investigation.
Israeli Channel 12 explained, "The explosion occurred 50 meters from the Israeli embassy in the Indian capital, New Delhi."
Two years prior, an explosion near the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi resulted in damaged vehicles but no injuries.
In February 2012, the spouse of the Israeli military attaché sustained injuries in a car bomb incident in New Delhi.
