Earlier, on August 7, Israeli aggression resulted in the martyrdom of four Syrian Arab Army soldiers and wounded four others in the vicinity of Damascus as Syrian air defenses engaged the hostile targets.

"The Israeli enemy carried out aerial aggression at 2:20 am on the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting numerous points in the vicinity of the city of Damascus," a Syrian military source told the SANA.

The air defenses of the Syrian Army engaged the hostile targets and intercepted some of them. The aggression "led to the martyrdom of four soldiers, wounded four others, and material damages were recorded."

This is the third attack of this sort in the span of a month, and such acts of aggression are commonplace in Syria, with the Israeli occupation continuously violating the country's airspace.
