The FBI has released new video footage of the suspect in the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, showing the gunman leaping from a rooftop at Utah Valley University before fleeing into a wooded area.
The newly published footage shows the suspect sprinting across the rooftop, climbing down the building, and leaving behind palm impressions, DNA smudges, and a shoe imprint, according to the FBI.
The suspect is then seen running across a grassy area near a parking lot and disappearing into nearby woods.

Law enforcement officials later recovered a high-powered Mauser bolt-action rifle and ammunition in the wooded area where the suspect fled. The rounds were marked with “transgender” and “anti-fascist” slogans, ABC News reported.

Investigators also confirmed that trace evidence collected from the scene included shoe impressions, a forearm imprint, and palm prints from the rooftop where the shot was fired.
Utah Governor Spencer Cox urged the public to cooperate with investigators, noting that more than 7,000 tips have already been submitted to the FBI, the highest number since the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013.
“We cannot do our job without the public’s help right now,” Cox said at a press conference on Thursday. He added that the state will “pursue the death penalty” once the suspect is captured.
The FBI’s Salt Lake City office continues to circulate images of the suspect and has announced a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to an arrest. Officials emphasized that the nationwide FBI search remains the agency’s top priority.
