First Israeli Ambassador Arrives in Bahrain for Diplomatic Mission
"Israel's" ambassador to Bahrain has arrived in Manama to inaugurate his diplomatic mission there following the normalization of ties between the two parties.
The first Israeli ambassador to Bahrain, Eitan Na'eh, arrived Monday in Manama to start chairing the diplomatic mission more than a year after the normalization of ties between "Israel" and Bahrain.
"Just landed in Manama to start my mission as Ambassador of Israel to the Kingdom of Bahrain," the occupation's ambassador said on Twitter, attaching images of his plane ticket, himself on board the plane, his flight's trajectory, and a selfie with his Bahraini counterpart.
The Israeli diplomatic mission to Bahrain had said earlier that Na'eh was on his way to begin his "important journey" of strengthening ties between the two parties.
Bahrain was among several Arab countries that normalized ties with the Israeli occupation last year, namely the UAE, Sudan, and Morocco, under the auspices of the Trump administration.
The Israeli ambassador had served as the head of the Israeli occupation's diplomatic mission to the UAE and Turkey.
The Israeli embassy in Bahrain was inaugurated in late September during a visit by foreign minister Yair Lapid.
Manama and "Tel Aviv" had agreed to exchange ministers as part of their normalization of ties in 2020.
Bahrain's ambassador to "Israel" assumed his post in September.
Naval Drill including Bahrain and "Israel"
Earlier in November, the US Navy led a security exercise in the Red Sea that brought together Israeli, Emirati, and Bahraini forces.
Those were the first joint drills that included both the occupation forces and Bahrain. However, "Israel" had conducted joint drills with the UAE prior to those led by the United States.
Bahrainis fight normalization with the Israeli Occupation
Last month, protests broke out across Bahrain, rejecting normalization with "Israel."
Earlier, a Bahraini citizen burned clothes that he bought from the Manama market after he was surprised that they were made by the Israeli occupation.
