Jail records confirm that former Trump lawyer and former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani has surrendered to authorities in Fulton County, Georgia, for his alleged role in overturning the results of the 2020 presidential election in the state.

He was booked into jail on Wednesday on 13 charges related to the alleged election interference scheme, but court records show that he was later released on a $150,000 bond.

With that being said, former US President Donald Trump is expected to surrender on Thursday at the Fulton County jail and be released afterward. This comes after Monday witnessed Trump’s bail set at $200,000 while restricting him to talking to co-defendants and witnesses regarding his case.

The probe is investigating Trump's phone discussion with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in January 2021, just after it was revealed that Trump had lost the state to Joe Biden. Trump allegedly requested fellow Republican Raffensperger to redo the vote count.

Giuliani helped to amplify Donald Trump’s false claims about widespread fraud in the 2020 election. His state law license was reportedly suspended under the pretext of undermining the integrity of the democratic process after propagating "demonstrably false and misleading" narratives.

His New York law license has also already been terminated for making misleading comments after the election. The work of the Washington review panel will now be heard by the DC Court of Appeals for a final determination.

On Tuesday, Trump took to Truth Social to rant and say that he is going to jail (to be booked) in Georgia's Fulton County due to what he called a "perfect phone call" and a witch hunt that is allegedly coordinated with current President Joe Biden's administration.

Trump said: "Can you believe it? I’ll be going to Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday to be ARRESTED by a Radical Left District Attorney, Fani Willis, who is overseeing one of the greatest Murder and Violent Crime DISASTERS in American History. In my case, the trip to Atlanta is not for 'Murder,' but for making a PERFECT PHONE CALL! She campaigned, and is continuing to campaign, and raise money on, this WITCH HUNT. This is in strict coordination with Crooked Joe Biden’s DOJ. It is all about ELECTION INTERFERENCE!"

The defendants have until 12 PM on August 25 to surrender, according to Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, after which they will be booked at the Fulton County Jail, as per the Fulton County Sheriff's Office.
