G7 plan to boycott Russia at G20 failed: Russian Foreign Ministry
The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson describes the German FM's statements criticizing Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov as "nonsense".
The G7 plan to boycott Russia at the G20 in Bali failed, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova pointed out on Friday, commenting on German Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock's statement regarding the alleged non-participation of Minister Sergey Lavrov in G20 events.
On the sidelines of an event in Bali, German Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock claimed that Lavrov's behavior at a meeting with G20 colleagues indicated that the Russian authorities did not show "a millimeter" of readiness for negotiations.
According to Baerbock, this is indicated by the fact that Lavrov carried out most of the negotiations at the G20 "not indoors, but outside it."
On Telegram, Zakharova pointed out that “From the moment the meeting of the G20 began, Lavrov was in the hall and after about two hours began to hold bilateral talks in the next room with colleagues on the same forum."
"Now the truth about Baerbock. She said this because G7's plan to boycott Russia at G20 had failed. No one supported the Western regimes. So they come out with anger," Zakharova added, describing Baerbock's statement as "nonsense".

EU & Vilnius say Kaliningrad transit issue will be solved soon: Moscow
In a different context, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that the European Commission and Lithuania made assurances that the blockade initiated by Vilnius over the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad will be solved in the near future.
"We continue the dialogue with the European Commission and Lithuania. We are assured that the issue should be resolved in the near future," Zakharova said in a statement, published by the ministry.
The spokesperson stressed that Moscow counts on Brussels and Vilnius making "the right decision" and allowing unhindered transit to Russia’s exclave.
"We will not wait forever. Once again we warn that if the situation does not stabilize in the coming days, then Russia will take tough measures against Lithuania and the European Union, the preparation of which has already been completed. They are resolving this issue for too long," Zakharova affirmed.
It is noteworthy that in mid-June, Lithuania banned the transit of goods through Lithuanian territory to and from the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad, citing EU sanctions against Russia.
