Reportedly, protesters clashed with the Israeli occupation police at the Kaplan crossroad.
Gantz stated in an interview with Israeli Channel 12 on Thursday that "Israel" should pay the price for a "year or two-year-long" truce in Gaza in exchange for the release of all captives held by Hamas.
Such comments indicate that Gantz, who is described by media as the USA's man in "Israel", is also against a permanent ceasefire, and only wants a breathing space.
33 Israelis arrested in massive protests calling for prisoner exchange
Last week, Israeli settlers staged massive protests in Tel Aviv and several other cities calling for new elections and the return of captives held by the Palestinian Resistance in Gaza, just hours after the military announced that four captives were retrieved during an operation from the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, The Times of Israel reported.
Although the protesters hailed the announcement, they directed their anger toward Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his cabinet.
In Tel Aviv, police reported the arrest of 33 protesters and confirmed that all roads near the protest sites were reopened to traffic around midnight.
