Ansar Allah's Political Bureau strongly condemned on Tuesday the renewal of UN sanctions on Yemen, warning that such measures extend collective punishment and intensify the mechanisms of economic blockade against the country.
In a statement, the bureau said the decision comes at a time when the United Nations claims to seek peace in Yemen, yet its actions serve the US agenda and the coalition of aggression.
Sanctions as retaliation for support to Gaza
Ansar Allah slammed the renewed sanctions as a desperate attempt to retaliate against Yemen’s active role in supporting Gaza and confronting the Israeli enemy. The group reaffirmed its solidarity with the Palestinian cause, calling it a matter of principle that is non-negotiable.
The statement also rejected the continued operation of the UN Panel of Experts on Yemen, stating that recent developments have proven their reports to be filled with lies and distortions.
The Political Bureau warned of the dangers of continuing the sanctions policy, stressing that such measures are being used as a cover for military escalation and renewed aggression against Yemen, under the pretext of protecting international maritime navigation.
“Experience has proven that the United States is working to militarize the Red Sea to bring more foreign bases into the region,” the statement read.

Rejection of UN 'peace force' in Gaza
Ansar Allah also rejected the UN Security Council resolution on establishing a so-called 'peace force' in Gaza, stating that it represents a return to guardianship and mandate-style policies under US supervision.
The bureau emphasized that the resolution serves the objectives of the Israeli enemy—objectives it failed to achieve through excessive force and genocide against the people of Gaza.
Expressing regret over the role of certain Arab and Islamic states in endorsing the US-aligned position, the statement reaffirmed the right of the Palestinian people to resist the occupation by all legitimate means.
Ansar Allah called on the UN Security Council and the international community to ensure unhindered humanitarian aid flows into Gaza and the immediate opening of border crossings, especially amid the continued humanitarian catastrophe resulting from the war.
On the resolution
The resolution was approved by 13 of the 15 Council members, with Russia and China abstaining from the vote.
The resolution aims to deploy a temporary foreign force to oversee security, support reconstruction, and maintain order in the territory. The draft calls for the force to operate for an initial period of two years, with the possibility of extension depending on developments on the ground.
The plan stems from a US-brokered agreement involving "Israel" and includes provisions for rebuilding Gaza and replacing the current governance structure without Palestinian resistance factions.
Russia and China criticized the resolution as vague and overly dominated by Washington’s interests. Rights groups and former UN officials have condemned the resolution as undermining Palestinian self-rule and violating international legal norms by imposing external governance structures without local participation.
