Current and former US officials confirm that officials from the US administration are increasingly at odds with Benjamin Netanyahu's government concerning their plans for the Gaza Strip.

Current and former US officials state that there is a growing divergence between US administration officials and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government concerning the strategy for "launching a military attack on Hamas and their differing visions for the political future of Gaza".

NBC News reported that a former US official mentioned "a growing divide between the United States and Israel regarding our anticipated positions in the coming month or two."

The network also highlighted that officials in the Biden administration are troubled by the proposal from former Israeli officials to establish a heavily fortified "buffer zone" in northern Gaza, aimed at safeguarding "Israel" from potential future operations originating from Gaza.

The officials said that establishing a buffer zone controlled by "Israel" inside Gaza after its bulldozing would mean reducing the area of the Strip, which the White House considers unacceptable.

According to the network, the United States said, in principle, that there should be “no Palestinian displacement from Gaza" and another senior administration official confirmed: "We are not convinced this is the best way forward".

However, despite the growing disagreement with "Israel", there is no indication that Biden is ready to withhold American military aid or impose other consequences on "Tel Aviv".

Additionally, administration officials stated that Biden remains committed to his administration's strategy, aiming to influence "Israel" discreetly and prevent the escalation of conflict across the Middle East.

He continued by saying: “He (Biden) believes we have influence and that influence has worked. We’re comfortable with the influence we have. But things aren’t moving as fast as we’d like."

It is noteworthy that a few days ago, in a letter to President Biden, more than 400 political appointees and employees from over 40 government departments expressed their disapproval of his blind support for "Israel" and its war crimes against Palestinians in Gaza.

The letter urges Biden to push for a ceasefire and pressure "Israel" to allow humanitarian aid and is part of a larger campaign of dissatisfaction with Biden's support for the occupation.

This comes as the US Congress experiences a divide among its members regarding ongoing support for "Israel" in its conflict with Gaza. Simultaneously, there is consideration of approving a $14 billion aid package for "Israel", coinciding with substantial demonstrations in the United States in support of Gaza and the call for a ceasefire.
