Gaza 'Generals' Plan' architect: Hamas achieved goals, 'Israel' failed
Maj. Gen. Giora Eiland, who developed the "Generals' Plan" to ethnically cleanse northern Gaza, said "Israel" failed at most of its goals, while Hamas achieved all of them.

Hamas' announcement that the group will suspend the captive exchange reflects the balance of power between "Israel" and Hamas, according to former "National Security" chief Giora Eiland, who added that "Hamas will make [Israel] crawl until we see, if we do, all hostages back home."
Eiland, who developed the "Generals' Plan", said the way the three hostages were returned last Saturday clearly shows the obvious, which is that "Israel" failed in its war on Gaza.
"There are two known ways to evaluate the results of a war, the first is checking whether each side achieved its goals," Eiland explained.
The Israeli official went on to explain how "Israel" failed in achieving "3 and a half out of 4 goals"; i.e. most of them: destroying Hamas' military force, getting rid of Hamas' rule, and returning the Gaza envelope settlers, while managing only partially to return some captives. On the other hand, Hamas achieved all its goals, Eiland maintained.
The second way to evaluate the results of a war, according to Eiland, is linked to the most important element in any war, which is each party's desire to impose its will on the other, citing the example of Germany and Japan.
"When absolute victory is achieved, the losing side surrenders without any condition, while when a victory is partial, the vanquished ends up giving up land, agreeing to disarm, stepping down, and paying reparations," Eiland elaborated.
He explained how the Israeli government is ignorant of the nature of war, especially 21st-century wars, saying that "Israel's" primary mistake was misunderstanding reality like when Netanyahu announced that Hamas is like ISIS, thus destroying all chances of victory.
As for October 7, the Israeli general pointed out that the outcome of a war is determined by how much each country restricts the other economically, adding that "Israel" supplied Gaza with food, water, and fuel, describing it as "great foolishness".
'Israel' violates ceasefire, Hamas postpones exchange
Hamas announced on February 10 that the captive exchange for February 15 has been postponed indefinitely, citing several Israeli breaches of the ceasefire deal over the past 3 weeks, including preventing Palestinians from returning to northern Gaza, shooting and targetting them across the strip, and disrupting the entry of aid to Gaza.
A senior Palestinian Resistance official told Al Mayadeen that Hamas has many reservations regarding "Israel's' violations of the ceasefire deal, adding that one of the key confirmations of failure to comply includes the continuous presence of recon drones.
"It is clear Israel will not commit to implementing the second phase of the agreement, especially given Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's insistence on the displacement and ethnic cleansing plot," he added.
The Palestinian Resistance believes Netanyahu is actively working toward foiling the ceasefire agreement, as Israeli statements around the second phase of the deal show they're not willing to stay committed to the ceasefire, according to the senior Palestinian source.
Meanwhile, the families of the Israeli captives urged mediators to work urgently on an immediate solution to put the deal back on track, asking the Israeli government to avoid acting in any way that would sabotage the ceasefire deal and halt hostage exchanges.
US President Trump said on Tuesday he would "let all hell break loose" if Israeli captives were not released by Saturday afternoon, making this the second time Trump has made such a threat, adding that the Israeli government will decide what happens next.
