Gaza bomb detonation injures six Israeli soldiers: Israeli media
Israeli media discusses the security incident in the Gaza Strip, saying that as long as a clear objective is missing for the army, more losses will keep piling.
Six Israeli occupation soldiers were injured when a charge detonated in the Gaza Strip, Israeli media reported on Monday.
Alon Abitar, a reserve lieutenant colonel and Arab affairs expert, told Channel 12 "These operations against guerrilla groups in the Gaza Strip come at a cost in lives. I don’t believe this will change in the near future, whether in military terms or tactical operations."
He affirmed that the most important matter is for "Israel" to define a clear objective for the Israeli army, which it has not done so far, adding that it should be for the long term rather than the short term.
"When there is no goal, this is what awaits us soon," Abitar stated.
Al-Qassam neutralize five soldiers in Jabalia
The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced on Monday that their fighters stormed a newly established military post set up by the Israeli occupation forces in Jabalia camp and neutralized five soldiers at point-blank range.
According to the statement released by the Brigades, al-Qassam fighters set fire to a Merkava tank along with its crew and targeted a military jeep carrying several soldiers with hand grenades, resulting in their deaths and injuries.
"The operation began by storming a newly established military post set up by the occupation forces in Jabalia camp and neutralizing five soldiers at point-blank range," the statement added.
On Friday, one al-Qassam fighter carried out a complex martyrdom operation by detonating an explosive belt in an Israeli occupation force consisting of five soldiers.
As Israeli occupation rescue forces advanced to retrieve the dead and wounded from the scene, al-Qassam resistance fighters sniped two soldiers from the force and fired a number of Israeli-made grenades at them in the Tal al-Zaatar area, east of the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip.
