The Gaza death toll from the genocide waged by the Israeli occupation has climbed to 66,148 martyrs and 168,716 wounded since October 7, 2023.
According to the latest figures from the Ministry of Health in Gaza, since the occupation resumed its War on Gaza on March 18, at least 13,280 martyrs and 56,675 wounded have been recorded.
In the past 24 hours alone, hospitals in the besieged enclave received 51 martyrs and 180 wounded, while many more victims remain under rubble or in the streets, unreachable due to continuous Israeli aggression and heavy destruction.
The Ministry of Health reported that in the same period, two Palestinians, including a child, died from starvation caused by the blockade and siege. This raises the number of starvation-related deaths to 455 martyrs, including 151 children.

Meanwhile, 4 martyrs and 57 wounded were documented after the occupation targeted Palestinians waiting for humanitarian aid. This brings the toll of those killed while seeking food aid to 2,580 martyrs and more than 18,930 wounded.
Government media office rejects occupation’s claims of safe passage
The Government Media Office in Gaza condemned the Israeli occupation’s claims of “allowing safe and unrestricted passage to the south” as misleading pretexts aimed at forcibly displacing Palestinians, endangering lives, and denying their right to safe movement.
It stressed that these statements conceal systematic, criminal practices designed to impose further suffering on the population under siege.
Closure of Al-Rasheed Street deepens siege on Gaza
The office criticized the occupation’s closure of Al-Rasheed/Coastal Street, describing it as “a vital artery for movement between Gaza’s governorates.”
“This arbitrary measure is part of the ongoing policy of siege, restrictions, and genocide against the people of Palestine in Gaza,” the office said.
It held both the occupation and the US administration fully responsible for the catastrophic consequences of this decision.
The statement urged the international community and the United Nations to take serious and immediate action to stop these grave violations of international humanitarian law and to guarantee the freedom and safety of civilian movement inside Gaza without restrictions or threats.
