The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported on Sunday that seven additional Palestinians, including children, have died from famine and malnutrition in the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of confirmed famine-related deaths to 339, including 124 children.
Since the United Nations officially declared a state of famine in Gaza, 61 deaths have been documented, among them nine children, underscoring the severe humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in the besieged territory.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza reported that 20 Palestinians were martyred on Sunday alone due to ongoing Israeli aggression across the Gaza Strip. The occupation continues to escalate its attacks using explosive drones capable of releasing 15 hand grenades simultaneously, specifically targeting residential areas and civilians.
According to Gaza’s Government Media Office, the Israeli military has detonated more than 80 booby-trapped robots in densely populated neighborhoods, inflicting further casualties and destruction. Despite the intensified bombing and deteriorating humanitarian conditions, more than one million Palestinians in Gaza and the north continue to refuse displacement to the southern regions of the Strip, in defiance of Israeli pressure tactics.
Gaza ministry reports 88 martyrs in 24 hours
Hospitals across the Gaza Strip received 88 martyrs and 421 wounded in the past 24 hours, according to health authorities. Emergency and civil defense teams have reported that victims remain trapped under rubble and in the streets, as rescue efforts are hindered by continued Israeli bombardment and access restrictions.
The Ministry of Health confirmed that the overall death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression has risen to 63,459 martyrs, with 160,256 injuries recorded since the beginning of the war on October 7, 2023. Between March 18, 2025, and today, 11,328 martyrs and 48,215 injuries have been recorded.
As part of the ongoing assaults on Palestinians seeking humanitarian aid, 30 martyrs and 166 injuries were recorded in the last 24 hours alone. This brings the total number of martyrs targeted while trying to access aid, referred to as "martyrs of livelihood," to 2,248, with more than 16,600 injured.
Gaza hospitals also recorded seven new famine-related deaths in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths due to hunger and malnutrition to 339, including 124 children.
