Gaza fighting battle of humanity, right vs. falsehood: PMF chief
Falih al-Fayyad says that Gaza today is a "beacon of Karbala and embodies the epic of Karbala."
The chief of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) affirmed that Gaza and Palestine have provoked global arrogance and the international system that seeks to spread a culture of surrender and submission.
On the anniversary of the martyrdom of commander Abu Montazer al-Muhammadawi, Falih al-Fayyad said, "Gaza echoes Karbala, and I firmly believe in it. In Gaza, it's a battle of right against falsehood and a battle of humanity."
"Gaza is a beacon of Karbala and embodies the epic of Karbala, and they [Palestinians in the Strip] are guided by this sacrifice."

He pointed out that the phrase "al-Quds as the capital of Israel" was created by the United States and the Israeli occupation, aiming to make the people of the region compliant masses.
Finally, the leader of the PMF expressed his regret that "there are Arab and Islamic peoples who seem almost lifeless, unaffected by the pain and sacrifices of the people of Gaza."
Al-Muhammadawi, the former commander of the operations of the Badr Organization, was one of the prominent leaders of the Popular Mobilization Forces in Iraq, and he was martyred during the battle to liberate the city of Fallujah from the terrorist organization ISIS.
The martyred leader played a significant role in operations against the US and British occupation forces in the country and supervised many operations against ISIS terrorists outside Iraq.
'Cleansing Iraq'
Earlier this year, after the Iraqi Resistance launched its operations against US bases to pressure Washington and "Israel" to stop the genocide in Gaza, the US killed in multiple air raids several Iraqi public and civilian citizens, including members of the PMF – an official security apparatus. This included strikes on governmental security sites.
The US crimes were severely condemned by the Iraqi political, military, and security leadership, who called for Washington to put into motion the agreement with Baghdad to pull its forces out of the country.

Speaking at the funeral procession of martyrs killed by one of the American aggressions, al-Fayyad stressed that the PMF "will not [allow] the blood of its sons be a cheap political commodity."
Describing the attack as "blatantly rude", al-Fayyad vowed that they "will not pass heedlessly." The Iraqi Resistance leader stressed that the "blood of the Popular Mobilization Front's martyrs" represents "the dignity and honor of Iraq."
In this context, al-Fayyad highlighted the necessity of "cleansing" Iraq from all foreign military presence.
