The Gaza Health Ministry reported on Friday that 98 Palestinians, including three whose bodies were recovered from under rubble, were killed and 511 others wounded in the past 48 hours amid ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
According to the ministry, many victims remain trapped under rubble or on the streets, as rescue teams continue to face severe difficulties reaching them due to the relentless bombardment.
Since October 7, 2023, the death toll from Israeli aggression has risen to 58,765 martyrs and 140,485 injured. From March 18, 2025, until today, 7,938 people have been killed and 28,444 injured.
The ministry also noted that within the past 48 hours alone, 14 Palestinians were killed and more than 94 injured while seeking aid or securing basic needs, bringing the total number of those killed while attempting to secure food and aid to 891 martyrs and over 5,754 injuries.
25 martyrs in Gaza aid massacre
Earlier today, over 25 Palestinians were martyred and 70 others injured on Sunday morning after Israeli occupation forces bombed a humanitarian aid distribution point on Al-Tineh Street, south of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, according to the director of Nasser Medical Complex.
The attack targeted civilians gathering to receive food aid, in what marks one of the deadliest recent strikes on aid-seeking civilians in the Strip. Per the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, and as of July 17, the number of martyrs in aid center massacres has reached 877, with 5,666 injured.
In western Khan Younis, a Palestinian was martyred and several others injured following an airstrike that targeted tents sheltering displaced civilians near the Japanese neighborhood. Meanwhile, in western Gaza City, occupation warplanes struck a residential apartment, injuring multiple civilians. And in the central Gaza Strip, Israeli artillery shelling hit areas north of al-Nuseirat and al-Bureij refugee camps.
The targeting of displacement zones continued in the north, where two Palestinians were martyred and several others injured in Jabalia al-Balad, as reported by Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza.
Multiple strikes across Gaza City and northern areas such as Jabalia have contributed to a growing civilian death toll, with many of the victims identified as displaced persons and aid seekers. These bombardments have compounded the effects of ongoing famine and displacement, as hospitals struggle to cope with mass casualties amid dwindling medical supplies and blocked humanitarian corridors.
