Gaza prisoners' families visit them in Nafha prison
Dozens of Palestinian families were able to see their detained relatives in the Israeli occupation's Nafha prison on Tuesday.
Palestinian prisoners Khalil Awawdeh, 40, from the town of Idna, Al-Khalil, and Raed Rayan, 27, are still on hunger strike in protest of their administrative detention at the hands of the Israeli occupation, the Palestinian prisoners' media office reported on Tuesday.
Awawdeh and Rayan have been on hunger strike for 104 days and 69 days, respectively.
As the two prisoners are enduring injustice and aggression from "Israel", the Palestinian Red Crescent said 40 Palestinians from Gaza have arrived to visit 24 of their relatives whom the Israeli occupation had imprisoned in Nafha Prison.
The Palestinian Resistance factions held on Monday an emergency meeting in which they discussed the latest Israeli escalations in the occupied territories and the critical health condition of the hunger-striking prisoners, as well as the medical neglect they are subjected to.
The factions called on the Palestinian people to expand the scope of support for the hunger-striking prisoners, especially. They also called on the various parties and human rights associations to move urgently and pressure the Israeli occupation to respond to the prisoners' demands.
Palestinian prisoner Zakaria Al-Zubaidi, one of the prisoners behind Operation Freedom Tunnel, which saw six brave prisoners liberating themselves from the unjust prisons of the Israeli occupation, is on the fourth day of his hunger strike launched in solidarity with the hunger-striking prisoners, Muhjat Al-Quds Foundation reported on Thursday.
The prisoners’ committee in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine had in April called for the launch of a broad support campaign in solidarity with the prisoner Raed Yousef Rayan, just days after he announced the start of his hunger strike.
