50 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli occupation forces since dawn, including 40 in Gaza City alone, Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in Gaza reported on Saturday.
Among the dead, six Palestinians were killed in al-Musha’hirah, and nine more lost their lives in al-Tuffah near Al-Shawa Square in eastern Gaza City. In the al-Shati' camp, west of the city, four Palestinians were killed and several others were injured when a residential building was struck.
Al-Awda Hospital in al-Nuseirat reported one fatality and 10 injuries following an Israeli attack on Palestinians. In southern Gaza, the Nasser Medical Complex said it had received one victim and five wounded among starved Palestinians waiting for aid in al-Tina, north of Rafah. Earlier in the day, two children were killed and several others were injured when a school sheltering forcibly displaced families near Yarmouk Stadium was hit.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent further reported that the Israeli occupation committed a massacre against the al-Jumla family, killing all its members, thus erasing the family from the civil registry.
Casualty figures surge amid humanitarian crisis
Hospitals received the bodies of 34 martyrs, including three retrieved from under the rubble, and 200 injuries in 24 hours, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced in its daily report on Saturday. Many victims remain trapped beneath debris and along roads, unreachable due to continued bombardment.
Since October 7, 2023, as of September 20, 2025, the death toll of the Israeli genocide in Gaza has surged to 65,208 Palestinians, in addition to 166,271 injured.
Moreover, as the Israeli-made famine ravages Gaza, 4 starved Palestinians were killed and over 18 were injured since early morning while trying to receive aid at designated "aid distribution sites" and were later transported to hospitals, as per the Ministry's report.
The death toll among Palestinians killed while seeking food aid in designated distribution zones has now climbed to 2,518, with more than 18,449 others wounded, according to the report.
The report added that the death toll from starvation and malnutrition in the besieged Strip, with the death of two Palestinians, has risen to at least 442, among them 147 children.
Forced evictions, targeted demolitions
Israeli occupation forces have carried out airstrikes on Tal al-Hawa in Gaza City to force residents to flee. Threatening phone calls were made to Palestinians, warning that homes would be bombed if they did not evacuate.
Explosive demolitions also targeted residential buildings in al-Nakhal, northeast Gaza City. Continuous demolitions across the city, drone strikes in Shabra, and car-bomb detonations in northern districts have accompanied the assault. Despite these attacks, reverse displacement has begun, with over 22,000 people reportedly returning to Gaza City and the north.
The Government Media Office in Gaza stated on Saturday that Israeli occupation forces are compelling roughly 270,000 Palestinians to leave Gaza City and move toward the southern Strip, as part of a deliberate policy of forced displacement.
Despite the ongoing genocide, over 900,000 Palestinians remain in Gaza City and northern areas.
The authorities warned that "Israel" is reportedly planning to set up what they described as “concentration camps", in line with a broader strategy to forcibly empty Gaza City and its northern districts of their residents.
