Gaza Resistance operations continue on 416th day of aggression
Palestinian Resistance factions continue to carry out operations against the Israeli occupation forces as the invasion of Gaza continues.
Palestinian Resistance factions continue to fiercely confront Israeli forces in northern and central Gaza on the 416th day of the Operation al-Aqsa Flood. Heavy confrontations and targeted attacks have been reported across various combat zones.
In northern Gaza, al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, engaged a 10-member Israeli infantry unit inside a house near the Tayba Mosque in central Beit Lahia. Using machine guns and grenades, the fighters inflicted heavy losses upon the unit. The al-Qassam Brigades also targeted an Israeli Merkava tank in Beit Lahia’s Hattabiyah Street with a Yassin-105 anti-tank RPG.
Meanwhile, al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) movement, reported fierce battles with Israeli soldiers and armored units in the al-Sheema area west of Beit Lahia. The brigades destroyed a Merkava tank in the Aslan area with a Thaqib improvised explosive device.
In central Gaza, Martyr Omar al-Qassem Forces shelled Israeli troops stationed in Juhr al-Dik with mortar rounds. In a joint operation, the al-Qassam Brigades and al-Quds Brigades targeted an Israeli command and control site in the Nitzarim axis with heavy mortar shells.
On Monday, resistance factions announced several operations, including direct confrontations that caused casualties among Israeli forces, the bombing of military vehicles and a bulldozer, and the interception of an Israeli drone. Resistance forces also shelled Israeli command sites.
Despite the ongoing siege and relentless aerial and artillery bombardment, the resistance has maintained its operations. However, the humanitarian toll in Gaza remains severe as a result of the ongoing Israeli war.
Israeli airstrikes killed four people and wounded others in the al-Masbah area north of Rafah in southern Gaza. Another attack on Jabalia al-Nazla in northern Gaza killed five civilians and wounded several others.
The destruction caused by Israeli attacks has left most Gaza residents displaced, with homes destroyed and families forced to seek refuge elsewhere. In central Gaza, Israeli drones targeted areas northwest of al-Nuseirat Camp with gunfire and highly explosive bombs, further worsening the humanitarian crisis.
All areas of the Gaza Strip are currently facing a severe water and food crisis, due to the Israeli occupation forces destroying infrastructure and water desalination plants. The United Nations has warned of the consequences of the hunger crisis afflicting the people of Gaza as the war continues.
