General Arab Congress urges support for Resistance against 'Israel'
The General Arab Congress praises the Iranian retaliation against the Israeli occupation after the former extensively bombarded "Israel".
The General Arab Congress praised Wednesday Iran's retaliatory strike against the Israeli occupation over its acts of aggression and criminality, hailing the heroism of Resistance fighters in Palestine and Lebanon, among others.
The statement called for the formation of an Arab, Islamic, and international coalition to utilize all possible means to halt the aggression against Gaza. Moreover, it affirmed that "it is Tehran's right to defend its sovereignty," adding that "Resistance forces have the right to fight to stop Israeli aggression on Gaza."
The General Arab Congress highlighted recent Resistance operations across various fronts with the Israeli enemy, including a martyrdom operation carried out by two individuals from al-Khalil in Tel Aviv, the resilience in Gaza, and the fierce confrontations in Lebanon, stretching from Odeisseh to Khiam and Maroun al-Ras.
It also praised Operation True Promise 2 by Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps, during which hundreds of Iranian missiles reached all regions of the Israeli entity, successfully striking most military targets within occupied Palestine.
The statement also highlighted Yemen's support, as the Yemeni armed forces launched missiles that "bypassed all Zionist, American, Western, and some Arab air defense systems." Additionally, Iraqi missiles were praised as reaffirming the unity of the Resistance fronts.
This significant and anticipated development in the confrontations with the Israeli occupation, according to the statement, was expected following the assassination of martyred Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and his companions in a massacre in Beirut last week.
The General Arab Congress called for an escalation of the Arab, Islamic, and international response to the ongoing Israeli aggression, which has persisted for over a year against Gaza and Palestine, which is part of a broader, continuous assault on the region, with Israeli airstrikes still targeting Lebanon and Syria.
Mobilization against 'Israel'
Furthermore, the statement also called for large-scale popular mobilization across all Arab and Islamic countries in support of the Resistance and in condemnation of Israeli aggression and its backers in Washington and the remainder of the West.
Namely, the General Arab Congress urged all Arab countries to "open their airspace for the passage of Arab and Islamic missiles aimed at enemy positions and assembly points," in an effort to pressure the Israeli occupation into ceasing its aggression against Palestine and Lebanon.
The statement emphasized that any interception of these missiles would be tantamount to participation in the aggression against Palestine and Lebanon.
Iran has the right to defend itself
The conference asserted that Iran's response to Israeli brutality is a "natural right of Iran" under all international laws and conventions, as it was a response to "Israel's" violation of Iranian sovereignty when it assassinated Hamas Political Bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.
The statement stressed the need to "support the Resistance forces in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen on all levels in their fight against the occupation forces." Additionally, it called for an "Arab, Islamic, and international coalition to isolate Israel on the world stage" and to "cancel all normalization agreements with Israel and work towards expelling it from the United Nations and all other international institutions."
Regarding the improvement of relations among Arab and Islamic nations, the General Arab Congress emphasized the necessity of "striving to purify relations between Arab and Islamic countries and within each of them," in preparation for "overcoming narrow sectarianism and sensitivities, as well as all attempts to fragment our Arab and Islamic societies in service of the enemies and their schemes."
The General Arab Congress consists of the Arab National Congress, the Islamic National Congress, the General Congress of Arab Parties, the International al-Quds Foundation, and the Progressive Arab Front.
Joint efforts to break 'Israel'
A piece published by The Guardian said Iran's missile attack against occupied territories on Tuesday night prompted security concerns in "Israel" and among its allies over the consequences of a potential joint operation led by the Axis of Resistance, including Iran and the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah.
In the article, Peter Beaumont says that while footage circulated showed massive fires at the military bases, particularly Tel Nof Airbase, "Israel" and its allies rushed to coin the attack a failure. However, Beaumont argues that the understanding of the Iranian attack does not solely depend on the damages that were inflicted, but rather on the fact that 181 missiles were able to bypass and pierce the "mighty" Israeli interceptors and air defenses.
According to the author, Iran's operation was able to achieve exactly what it set out to, triggering long-running concerns regarding "Israel's" security and the implications of a possible joint missile attack by the Axis of Resistance.
What is worth noting, however, is the precision that was showcased during the attack, marked by barely any damage to civilian infrastructure, other than minor ones inflicted by shrapnel dropping post-interception.
Although "Israel" boasts its interception and aerial defense capabilities, it also prepped healthcare centers and hospitals to anticipate and expect mass casualty events for when a scenario like Iran's operation plays out.
