Grads turn their back to Biden during Morehouse commencement speech
The US President claims he was aware many were frustrated and angered by the situation, including "his own family."
Joe Biden has not only made American students turn against him but has also literally made graduates turn their backs to him during a speech he gave Sunday at Morehouse College.
Biden referred to the brutal war on Gaza, abetted and funded mainly by his government, as a "humanitarian crisis" and then boldly stated that he was demanding a ceasefire.
The President claimed he was aware many were frustrated and angered by the situation and alleged that this "includes his own family."
In addition to students turning their seats around to avoid facing him, one graduate briefly hoisted a Palestinian flag, while an audience member stood with their fist up.
Some graduates donned Kouffiyehs over their gowns, while the valedictorian urged a permanent and urgent ceasefire.
White House advisors surveyed the sentiment on the Morehouse campus in recent weeks, where some staff and students had urged for the President's invitation to be canceled due to his support for the Israeli occupation and their reservations about an address during campaign season.
The historically Black men's institution in Atlanta is part of Biden's year-long campaign to strengthen ties with young Black voters.
Morehouse freshman political science major Justin Clopton stated, "I hear a lot of complaining, a lot of lamenting that he's coming to the school. People say he's just doing this to garner votes," adding, "My response to that is yes, obviously."
Recently, polls indicated that former President Donald Trump was ahead of Biden in 5 key battleground states. According to the results, Trump is ahead in Pennsylvania (3 points), Arizona (7), Michigan (7), Georgia (10), and Nevada (12). Biden dominated with 2 points in Wisconsin.
Although Trump is in the middle of a hush-money trial, The Times said that “a yearning for change and discontent over the economy and the war in Gaza among young, Black, and Hispanic voters threaten to unravel the president’s Democratic coalition."
Trump, however, seems to be garnering a staggering 20% support from Black voters, the highest ever given to a Republican candidate since the civil rights movement.
Operation Al-Aqsa Flood an 'understandable act of resistance': Poll
Almost 40% of students at Russell Group universities view Operation Al-Aqsa Flood as an "understandable act of resistance."
A poll by Stand With Us UK said that the findings come amid an alleged rise in anti-Semitism (conflated with anti-"Israel" sentiment), with efforts to portray all support for Palestine as support for "terrorism" or a form of "anti-Semitism".
The allegations become credible given the significant fact that Stand With Us UK is a pro-"Israel" organization with educational international charity status and was established to counter the Boycott Divest Sanctions movement. The charity has also been reportedly accused of sharing misinformation.
The survey, shared exclusively with the Daily Mail, polled over 1,000 students across 20 British campuses and found that 29% of students believe Operation Al Aqsa Flood was an "understandable" act of "resistance".
Among students at Russell Group universities, often regarded as the best and brightest, this figure rose to 38%.
