Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Tuesday that his country will discuss important political, economic, and strategic issues during the visit of Qatari Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to Tehran on Wednesday.
Araghchi stated that during the emir of Qatar's visit, consultations will focus on regional issues, particularly the situation in occupied Palestine, Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, and Syria.
He emphasized that the relationship between Iran and Qatar is long-standing and expanding, with significant economic projects on the agenda that will be pursued with serious commitment.
The Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, will visit Tehran on Wednesday after his trip to India.
Iran to participate in Sayyed Nasrallah's funeral
In a separate context, the Iranian Foreign Minister announced that Iran would send a high-level delegation to participate in the funeral of martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, representing the government, the council, and all Iranian institutions.
On another note, Araghchi emphasized that the displacement of Palestinians in Gaza is "a very dangerous issue," urging "Islamic countries to adopt a unified stance against Israeli crimes and plans that threaten the identity and future of Palestine."
Earlier this month, Araghchi said on February 9 that US President Donald Trump's plan to forcibly displace Gaza's residents "is a continuation of the colonial scheme to erase Palestine. It violates all international laws and is completely unacceptable."
During his meeting with a Hamas delegation earlier in February, Araghchi said the resilience and perseverance of the Palestinian people in the face of unprecedented crimes and genocide, perpetrated by "Israel", will be "engraved in history."
He also praised the scenes of Gazans returning to their homes, saying they reflected strength. "Despite all the horrifying crimes Israel committed, [Israel] eventually was forced to negotiate with the [Hamas] movement, the same movement it sought to destroy," he added.
