The Palestinian Resistance movement Hamas has declared that the occupation is accumulating failures in Gaza, stressing that the only remaining path for "Israel" to recover its captives is through an exchange deal under the Resistance’s terms.

In a statement released on Friday, Hamas described the war as “a mirror of the occupation’s failure on all fronts,” calling the ongoing battle a historic turning point that will be etched in the memory of the struggle. The movement stated that this war exposes the increasing fragility of the occupation and reveals its crimes of killing, starvation, and genocide, particularly as it continues its aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip.

Resistance imposes rhythm

Hamas emphasized that the Resistance’s resilience and evolving tactics continue to undermine the occupation’s military strategy. It noted that the Resistance fighters are seizing the initiative and carrying out daily operations that continue to surprise and confuse the enemy. Despite attempts to break the will of the Palestinian people through siege and starvation, Hamas maintained that the occupation has failed to achieve its goals.

According to the statement, “Israel” now has no other option but to pursue a deal with the Resistance, governed by Hamas’s conditions, if it seeks the return of its prisoners. It further stressed that such a deal must guarantee just national and humanitarian rights, including a complete lifting of the blockade and an end to the policy of collective starvation.

Humanitarian crisis in Gaza

Addressing the humanitarian situation, Hamas said the famine imposed by the Israeli occupation on Gaza constitutes a deliberate crime against humanity, accusing "Israel" of using food as a weapon of war to subjugate a steadfast population. The movement called for an urgent popular and official mobilization to end this “heinous crime” and to rescue hundreds of thousands of besieged and starving civilians in Gaza.

"Israel" continues its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, intensifying its attacks on civilians, including those waiting for humanitarian aid, while the blockade remains in place.
