Hamas has called on the international community, the Security Council, and international judicial institutions to take urgent action to stop what it described as "unleashed Zionist fascism" and to hold war criminals accountable for their crimes against civilians in the Gaza Strip.
The Resistance faction stated that comments from Yisrael Katz, concerning the "evacuation of buildings" prior to their bombardment, expose a systematic policy of forced displacement under fire and confirm that the occupation is using civilians as hostages to impose its terms.
The movement further stated that the targeting of residential towers, which are crowded with civilians, is part of the occupation's attempts to force people into involuntary displacement, adding that Katz's announcement of escalated military operations represents an unprecedented challenge to international laws and humanitarian norms.
Israeli army carrying out extermination in full view: PIJ
For its part, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement viewed Katz's statement and his boasting about bombing densely populated residential towers as an explicit admission that the Israeli army has committed war crimes.
The movement further affirmed that the occupation army is carrying out "ethnic cleansing and a war of extermination in full view of the entire world," stressing that Resistance factions will continue to confront the "barbarism and brutality being committed by the entity with direct American sponsorship and management."
The movement also called on Arab nations and their people to recognize that "what is happening in Gaza threatens their direct security and requires them to act swiftly to stop the aggression."
'Israel' openly declared its genocidal intent: Hamas
Earlier in the day, Hamas affirmed that it has shown complete flexibility to reach an agreement on Gaza, accusing what it called "war criminal" Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of insisting on thwarting the efforts of mediators.
In a statement marking the war's 700th day, Hamas declared, "For 700 days, the world has been witnessing, in audio and video, the most horrific genocide known to contemporary history."
The movement clarified that the occupation government has violated all international laws and humanitarian conventions designed to protect civilians in war, openly declaring its intent to eradicate and displace the Palestinian people through massacres, starvation, siege, and the deprivation of all essential life-sustaining materials.
Hamas further specified that the actions being committed by the occupation represent full-fledged acts of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and forced displacement. It held the US administration responsible for the continuation of these crimes of annihilation, citing its provision of political and military cover for the occupation and its actions to obstruct United Nations institutions from performing their duty to stop these atrocities and ensure accountability for those responsible.
Concluding its statmenet, Hamas expressed its appreciation for the global popular movement standing in solidarity with the Palestinian people and blessed the launch of the Global Steadfastness Flotilla aimed at breaking the siege on the Gaza Strip, while calling on the masses of the Arab and Islamic nations and the people of the free world to intensify their activities and rise in all cities and public squares until the aggression is stopped and the siege is broken.
