Hamdan: 'Israel's' response to our plan was negative, obstructs talks
Hamas' Osama Hamdan slams the Israeli occupation for evading a ceasefire in his latest press release.
The Islamic Resistance Movement - Hamas is making every effort to end the war on the Palestinian people in Gaza and deliver aid to the famished population in the besieged territory, a member of Hamas' Political Bureau, Osama Hamdan, stated on Wednesday.
During a press brief on the latest regional and Palestinian developments, Hamdan shed light on the fact that Hamas had delivered a comprehensive plan for a prisoner exchange deal and ceasefire to mediators. The plan includes several stages that would ensure an end to the aggression on the Gaza Strip, the return of forcibly displaced Palestinians to their homes, the safe and sufficient delivery of aid to the Gaza Strip, and the rebuilding of what the Israeli occupation had destroyed in its war on Gaza.
He emphasized that the movement had shown flexibility during talks, especially on the issue of the prisoner exchange deal, and called on the occupation to seize the opportunity of a deal instead of evading it.
Hamdan noted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is obstructing negotiations and the process to reach a final deal, based on the three-stage plan that Hamas proposed to mediators, which was met with negativity from the Israeli side.
The official stressed that the continued Israeli aggression on Al-Shifa Medical Complex is an attempt to cover up for "Israel's" military failure. He pointed to the fact that "Israel" blatantly admitted to executing more than 50 Palestinians in the medical facility.
Hamdan reaffirmed Hamas' support to Palestinian Arab tribes who have taken a stance in favor of the Resistance and the government in Gaza.
He also held the Biden administration accountable for the continued Israeli crimes in the Gaza Strip, calling on the world to intervene and stop the genocide in Gaza. He emphasized that there is no practical alternative to land crossings into the Gaza Strip when it comes to delivering aid to the besieged territory.

Hamas condemns continued aggression on al-Shifa
On the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza's largest medical facility, Al-Shifa Medical Complex, Hamas released a statement condemning the crimes of the Israeli occupation, including the execution of tens of displaced people, patients, and medical staff.
Hamas said that the attack on Al-Shifa reflects a "vengeful attitude" by the defeated Israeli occupation forces that are incapable of achieving a military victory in the Gaza Strip.
The movement stressed that these "fascist crimes" would only boost the resistance of Palestinian people and their insistence on confronting the US-backed Israeli occupation.
Hamas urged the Islamic and Arab people, as well as the free people of the world, to expand their mobilization in support of Palestine on every front.
In the same context, the spokesperson for the Palestinian Civil Defense in Gaza, Major Mahmoud Basal, said that the Israeli occupation refuses to coordinate with international organizations in the Gaza Strip, such as the Red Cross, denying them the ability to rescue hundreds of wounded people in the vicinity of Al-Shifa.
Basal said that the policy aims to slowly kill innocent Palestinian civilians who are calling for urgent assistance.
