Haniyeh congratulates Pezeshkian on victory

The head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, sent a congratulatory message to the Iranian President-elect, Masoud Pezeshkian, on his victory in the snap presidential election, on Saturday.
Haniyeh stated in his message that the congratulatory wishes are being sent at a time when "our Palestinian people and their resistance are fighting one of their most honorable historical battles, with all valor and steadfastness in the battle of the Operation al-Aqsa Flood, especially while being subjected to in terms of genocide and Israeli brutality.
Haniyeh said that Hamas and the Palestinian people are confident in Pezeshkian's ability to "serve Iran, overcome challenges and difficulties," in addition to upholding Islamic unity and supporting the cause of Palestine, as well as support the Palestinian people as is "customary with the honourability of Iran and its people."
It is noteworthy that Pezeshkian sent the leader of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, a message asserting the Islamic Republic's support for the Resistance and the people of the region against the illegitimate Israeli occupation.
The roots of Iran’s support for the Resistance lie in the basic policies of the regime and the directives of the Leader, and it will continue strongly, Pezeshkian affirmed in his message.
The Iranian President further said he was certain that the Resistance movements in the region would not allow the Israeli occupation to proceed with its war tactics and aggression against the people of Palestine and those of the region.
He additionally thanked Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, extending wishes for more success, glory, happiness, and progress for the Lebanese people, as well as divine victory for the Islamic Resistance fighters.
Sayyed Nasrallah congratulates Pezeshkian
In a congratulatory message sent on behalf of Hezbollah, Sayyed Nasrallah wished the president-elect a successful term in office, hoping that Pezeshkian achieves the aspirations of the "sacrificial and loyal" Iranian people.
He explained that Hezbollah and all Resistance movements in the region, "who have for many years been engaged in open confrontation with Zionist occupation forces" and the project of American hegemony, view the Islamic Republic of Iran as their [axis of] support. And this, according to Sayyed Nasrallah, has been the case since the triumph of the Islamic Revolution, under the leadership of Sayyed Ruhollah Khomeini, and later Sayyed Ali Khamenei and the successive governments under his guidance.
"We always view the Islamic Republic of Iran as a strong, stable, and permanent supporter for the Resistance [movements] and the downtrodden," Sayyed Nasrallah wrote.
The Lebanese Resistance leader said the Resistance movements would continue to tread on the same path until "achieving the final victory, the focal point of which is the mighty and powerful Iran."
