Harry, Meghan not to attend King's coronation, children uninvited
The coronation of Charles III alongside his wife Camilla is scheduled to take place on May 6 in Westminster Abbey.
According to Sky News on Friday, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not partake in the coronation of King Charles III next month amid tensions among the Royal Family, especially as a result of their children not being invited and the palace's rejection to sing "Happy Birthday" to the couple's son Archie from the royal balcony on the same day.
The coronation of Charles III alongside his wife Camilla is scheduled to take place on May 6 in Westminster Abbey.
In a statement to Sky News, royal commentator Angela Levin confirmed that since the couple's son's birthday coincides with the coronation date, the couple asked if they could stand on the royal balcony and sing 'Happy Birthday', but their request was turned down.
Tensions ensued after Prince Harry and US actress Meghan Markle, who married in 2018, left the UK in 2020 following controversies regarding tensions among the family. Tensions rose even further when the couple was interviewed by Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, and the couple disclosed that they have been facing a lack of support and racism.

A spokesperson for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle confirmed last month that the couple was evicted from their cottage at Windsor Castle. Shortly before the birth of their son, the Duke, and Duchess of Sussex moved from Kensington Palace into Windsor Castle.
"We can confirm The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been requested to vacate their residence at Frogmore Cottage," the spokesperson said.
King Charles decided to evict Harry and Meghan the day after Harry released his controversial memoir "Spare" in January. Even after the release of Prince Harry's memoir and Netflix's "Harry & Meghan", Harry's relationship with the royal family is more strained than ever.
The royal family did not provide the couple with another protected location to stay in the UK as his appeal to the UK government to hire police protection for his family is still being reviewed. It is reported that the couple was "stunned" by the king's decision to evict them.
