Hezbollah could destroy Tel Aviv, Gush Dan if attacked: Israeli Gen.
Israeli General Yitzhak Brik warns that it would be a "major disaster for Israel" if launches a war on Lebanon.
Israeli Reserve Major General Yitzhak Brik cautioned against the grave consequences "Israel" would face if it chose to escalate the war with Lebanon, stressing that the threats issued by senior security officials are "futile and pointless."
In an interview with Israeli Channel 12, Brik stated that "the most dangerous lie being promoted right now, which could create a major disaster for Israel, is that the army will launch an attack on Hezbollah."

He elaborated, saying, "The public needs to understand the truth. This very small (Israeli) army, which has been divided into six divisions and cannot eliminate Hamas because it cannot remain in the territories it occupies, will face many problems if it wages a large-scale war on Lebanon."
According to Brik, these problems include "the army's struggles with logistics, maintenance, ammunition, and spare parts, as it has unusable tanks."
"Even if the army manages to reach the Litani River, it will find that it must leave within two or three weeks because there will be no one to replace it," he said, adding that Security Minister Yoav Gallant had admitted that the army has no intention of remaining in Lebanon, meaning that such a move "would achieve nothing."

However, what is even more concerning, according to the Israeli general, is that the moment "Israel" launches a large-scale attack on Lebanon, it will "essentially trigger a war with Hezbollah that will also turn into a regional war."
"The public needs to understand that Hezbollah will begin firing thousands of rockets at Gush Dan, the Haifa Bay, and strategic targets such as water, electricity, and air, sea, and land facilities, from the moment Israel launches a ground attack on Lebanon," he warned, stressing that Hezbollah will cause "serious damage to Israel."
The senior military official pointed out that while "Israel could flatten all of Beirut," Hezbollah "would do the same to Israel in Gush Dan and the Haifa Bay."

He further warned that "if the entire army were to enter Lebanon today, it could lead to an explosion in other regions," such as the West Bank and along the borders with Jordan and Egypt, "leaving no forces available to defend all fronts simultaneously."
In light of these realities and scenarios, Brik addressed what the war objectives in Gaza and the north should be at this time, indicating that "there is only one way out of all this," and it involves addressing the captives. "Israel" must stop the fighting today and bring the captives back, "hoping that halting the war in Gaza would also stop the conflict with Hezbollah."
"The most important thing Israel must do after achieving calm is to form a defense alliance with the United States, as it has no hope in the war that Benjamin Netanyahu decided to continue with all the Arab states, while Israel lacks the resources to continue the confrontation, the stamina, or the ability to win the war."
Brik further stated that Netanyahu, Gallant, and Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi, instead "caused the greatest failure for Israel in the Gaza envelope, and are now causing the second greatest failure since Israel's establishment, which is the defeat by Hamas and their refusal to secure the release of prisoners through an agreement, based on the massive lie that the army would undermine them after a short time," something that "has no basis in reality... Israel has lost this war."
